Feed is received, de-energised and mechanically processed into a graded black mass, sampled and assayed lot by lot.

Intake

Loads are weighed, logged against a lot ID, screened for state-of-charge and visible hazards. Non-conforming packs are quarantined before anything moves downstream.

Discharge

Cells and modules are brought down to a safe residual voltage on resistive load banks under continuous thermal monitoring. Prevents thermal runaway in the shred line.

Dismantle

Packs are broken down to module and cell level. Casings, BMS boards, wiring and coolant lines are streamed off so only electrochemically active material enters the shredder.

Shred

Cells are reduced under inert atmosphere in a two-stage shredder. Fines are captured; off-gas is scrubbed before it leaves the enclosure.

Sort & assay

Shredded output is screened, magnetically and eddy-current separated into black mass, foils and casing fines. Every lot is sampled and assayed before dispatch.
